Nia Millán brings a unique cinematic flair to horror-inspired performance art, merging fear, beauty, and physical storytelling in a way that feels both unsettling and hypnotic. Her characters live in the tension between elegance and chaos—each one hauntingly distinct, yet unmistakably hers.

In Echoes of the Well, using the lollipop medium, Nia embodies “Samaira”—a haunting reimagining of The Ring. Through suspended, fluid movement and unsettling stillness, she transforms the familiar horror icon into something strangely beautiful. The act drifts between grace and unease, using aerial motion to explore fear, obsession, and rebirth.

Another signature horror creation using the Pole Balloons apparatus is “Maldiva” —a psychotic clown born from the collision of glamour and madness. Equal parts comedy, danger, and seduction, she embodies the chaos lurking behind a showgirl's smile.

Completing this collection of dark creations is the Black Widow, a haunting hair suspension spider character developed in collaboration with ensemble Scarlet Rose Noir. Combining eerie elegance, striking visual imagery, and suspended movement, the piece explores the beauty and danger of the unseen world lurking beneath the surface.
