About me

Nia Millán is a multidisciplinary physical performer who uses the mediums of pole, aerial arts, contortion, and burlesque to create immersive experiences for adult audiences. Renowned for her signature style, magnetic stage presence, and inventive approach to apparatus design, she transforms traditional circus equipment into extraordinary theatrical experiences—all delivered with an effortless sense of elegance.

Originally from Venezuela and raised in Costa Rica, Nia grew up with only glimpses of gymnastics and ballet—enough to spark a love for movement, but not yet a foundation. Her artistic journey truly began years later in the basement of a London building, where she stumbled upon a pole class while studying for her master's degree in Business. That unexpected discovery changed everything, as she traded spreadsheets for spin poles, business suits for bodysuits—and never looked back.

Since then, her career has taken her across the United States, performing in cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, New York, Miami, Austin, Dallas, Denver, and Milwaukee, among many others. She is currently based in Las Vegas, where she performs as a featured specialty artist with The Mayfair Supper Club at the Bellagio and appears in Oddyssey Noir, and Omnia Dayclub, while continuing to develop original productions and specialty actsfor stages around the world.

In 2018, Nia qualified for the World Pole Championships in Fort Lauderdale, earning a place among the world's finalists and finishing 8th overall.

Her specialties include pole, aerial pole, hair suspension, contortion, lollipop, aerial straps, silks, lyra, and custom-designed apparatus. As both a performer and creator, she designs and handcrafts her own costumes, props, and performance equipment, continually pushing the boundaries of contemporary circus.

Among her signature creations are the world's first Pole Balloon Act, which transforms a freestanding pole into a dreamlike pole-and-strap hybrid; the Dandelion Pole, a whimsical large-scale installation that merges sculpture with aerial performance; and the Spinning Pole Ladder, an original apparatus that expands the possibilities of dynamic pole movement. Whether developing horror-inspired theatrical characters, sensual burlesque performances, or innovative circus concepts, Nia is constantly exploring new ways to tell stories through movement.

When she isn't creating or performing, Nia shares her life in Las Vegas with her husband, Matt, and their two mischievous gremlin dogs, Mina and Monkey.
